Bernice Pershing Hinton

Bernice Pershing was born on July 19th, 1918.¹ Bernice Pershing's father was Ammon Elbert Hinton and her mother was Hattie Lucrecy Ryals. Her maternal grandparents were William T., Sr. Ryals and Frances Elizabeth Bell. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Prentice Ammon, Willice Elbert, Benjamin, Ray D., Eleanor, Vera V., Frances Elizabeth and Jessie Lou. She was the third youngest of the nine children.
