William Heyward Garrett 
William Heyward was born on April 4th, 1925 in McWilliams, Wilcox County, Alabama.1 William Heyward's father was James Gardner Garrett and his mother was Bertha Mae Williams. His paternal grandparents were James Pinson Garrett and Annie E Smith; his maternal grandparents were Irvan Williams and Ann Autrey. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Jadie, Denzer James, Grover Cleveland, Annie Lou, Lillie Clara and Mattie Vivian. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 51 on March 13th, 1977. He was buried in Society Hill Cemetery, Wilcox County, Alabama.1 1 -
