Leah Garrett 
Leah was born on March 1st, 1907.1 Leah's father was William Cleveland Garrett and her mother was Minnie Leila Green. Her paternal grandparents were Overstreet William Garrett and Rebecca Jane Bell; her maternal grandparents were William Jackson Green and Emmie Alice Brewton. She had three brothers and three sisters, named James Jackson, William Cleveland, Jr., Thomas Lester, Jessie Willis, Minnie Mae and Ella Virginia. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 63 on April 16th, 1970 in Castleberry, AL. She was buried in Buffington Cemetery, Conecuh County, Castleberry, Alabama.1 1 -

‌Leah and Levi Simpson were married in a religious ceremony on December 23rd, 1926.2 They had three sons and two daughters, named Lester, Living, Living, Juanita and Eloise.
