Vincent Martin was born on July 18th, 1840 in Lowndes Co., AL.1 Vincent Martin's father was John Archer, Jr. Elmore and his mother was Laura Maria Martin. His paternal grandparents were John Archer Elmore and Nancy Ann Martin; his maternal grandparents were William Dickerson Martin and Henrietta Williamson. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Rush, John Archer, Hamlin Lewis, William Martin, Carrie Bostick and Mary Ludlow. He died at the age of 67 on January 12th, 1908 in Montgomery, AL.
