Strickland Cooper 
Strickland was born about 1808.1 Strickland's father was James Cooper and his mother was Sarah Comly. His paternal grandparents were James- Cooper and Hannah Hibbs. He had six brothers and a sister, named Cortland Comly, Ship Chandler, William, James, Henry Augustus, Hamilton, George W. and Sarah Ann. He was the youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named William, Naomi, Caroline and Hannah.-
