James Cooper

James was born about 1795.¹ James' father was James Cooper and his mother was Sarah Comly. His paternal grandparents were James- Cooper and Hannah Hibbs. He had six brothers and a sister, named Cortland Comly, Ship Chandler, William, Henry Augustus, Hamilton, George W., Strickland and Sarah Ann. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named William, Naomi, Caroline and Hannah.
