Elizabeth was born on July 25th, 1829.1 Elizabeth's father was William Cooper and her mother was Lucy Thomas. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas, Jr. Cooper and Mary Merrick. She had four sisters named Mary, Martha, Sarah and Lucy Anna. She was the oldest of the five children.-
