Zilphia Elizabeth was born on December 5th, 1850 in Holly Grove, Haywood Co., TN.1 Zilphia Elizabeth's father was Thomas Jefferson Castellaw and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Cole. Her paternal grandparents were John Dawson Castellaw and Zilpha Spruill. She had three brothers named Thomas Jefferson, Jr., George W. and Jeremiah Fletcher. She was the youngest of the four children. She had three half-brothers named John Edward, Joseph Dawson and James Williams. She died at the age of 71 on January 3rd, 1922 in TN. She was buried in Cobb Family Cemetery in Maple Grove..1 1 -
