William Henry Castellaw 
William Henry was born in 1769 in Winton Co., SC.1 William Henry's father was James, Jr. Castellaw and his mother was Priscilla Barton. His paternal grandparents were James, Sr. Castellaw and Sarah Williams. He had three brothers and a sister, named John Bryant, James B., Benjamin and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 61 in 1830 in Washington Co., GA.1 General Notes

William was in Bertie Co., North Carolina in 1787. William andhis family
moved to Washington Co., Georgia sometime before1805. He registered to
obtain land in Washington County in Georgia's 1805 Land lottery. General
Sherman's troops burned the Courthouse's down in Barnwell Co., SC and
Washington Co., GA. This has prevented a lot of research in these areas.
William Henry and his brother James were enumerated with the1820
census, page 146 for Washington Co., GA. No 33, roll 9
A Washington Co,, GA newspaper dated January 15, 1830shows:
"Administrator, James Castellaw advertising the sale of perishable
property of the Willilam H. Castellow" estate sale set for February 25,
1830. James was appointed administrator of his deceased father's estate.
