Mary L. was born on March 8th, 1856 in Haywood Co., TN.1 Mary L.'s father was John Edward Castellaw and her mother was Margaret A. W. Johnson. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson Castellaw and Marah Elisar Hardy. She had two brothers and a sister, named William R., Joseph Dawson and Dicy A.. She was the oldest of the four children. She had three half-brothers named James E., John Edward, Jr. and Benjamin Wesley. She died at the age of 14 on April 21st, 1870 in Haywood Co., TN. She was buried in Castellaw Cemetery, Haywood Co., TN.1 1 -
