John CHAPIN

John was born on May 14th, 1674 in Milford, New Haven Co., Conneticut.¹ John's father was Japhet CHAPIN and his mother was Abilene (Abidenah) COOLEY. His paternal grandparents were SAMUEL (Deacon) CHAPIN and CICELY PENNEY; his maternal grandparents were Samuel COOLEY and Ann PRUDDEN. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Ebenezer, Daniel, David, Jonathan, Jonathan, Hannah, Hannah and Sarah. He died at the age of 85 on June 1st, 1759 in Springfield, Hampden Co., Massachusetts.¹
