Emory Spears was born on March 3rd, 1883 in Forsyth Co., GA.1 Emory Spears' father was Thomas Franklin Blackstone and his mother was Susan Roxanna Sears. His maternal grandparents were Wyatt Chappel Sears and Louisa Jane Payne. He had three brothers and four sisters, named J. Wiley, Rasty, Bill, Azila, Mary, Joannah and Julie Rose. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Claude, Grady Thomas, Elmer Lee, Sallie Lou, Maude and Allie Mae.
