William Cidney was born on January 21st, 1861 in Coosa Co., AL.1 William Cidney's father was William Henry Cidney Adams and his mother was Lucy Frances Carriker. His maternal grandparents were Henry Carriker and Elizabeth Burnette. He had a brother and five sisters, named Charles, Susan Caledonia, Mary E., Sarah Jane, Delila Ann and Martha Georgiana. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 78 on November 17th, 1939 in Coosa Co., AL.
