Elen (Helena) was born on November 1st, 1207 in Gwynedd, Wales.  Elen (Helena)'s father was Llywelyn Fawr ap Iorwerth Prince of Wales and her mother was Joanna of England.  Her maternal grandparents were John Lackland Plantagenet King of England and Agatha de Ferrers. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Tegwared-y-Bais Wen, Dafydd ap Llywelyn Fawr, Angharad and Marared Drwyndon. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Gruffydd ap Llywelyn Fawr, Gwladus Ddu "the Dark and Gwenllian.  She died at the age of 45 on October 24th, 1253 in Stevington, England.

‌Elen (Helena) and John le Scot of Chester were married in a religious ceremony on November 22nd, 1222 in St. Werburgh Benedictine Abbey, Chester, Chestershire.


Elen (Helena)'s second family with Robert de Quincy the Younger

‌Elen (Helena) and Robert were married in a religious ceremony after June 6th, 1237.  They had three daughters named Anne, Joane and Hawise (Margaret).
