John de Berkeley 
John was born in 1277. John's father was Sir Thomas de Berkeley Lord Berkeley and his mother was Joan de Ferrers. His paternal grandparents were Maurice de Berkeley Lord Berkeley and Isabel FitzRichard de Dover; his maternal grandparents were William de Ferrers III Earl of Derby and Margaret de Quincy. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Sir Maurice de Berkeley, James, Alice, Isabel and Margaret. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.General Notes
