Philip de was born about 1152 in Tattershall, Horncastle, Lincolnshire, England. Philip de's father was Robert FitzHugh de Tateshal , Sir and his mother was Isabel (Elizabeth) de Welle. His paternal grandfather was Hugh FitzEon de Tateshal , Sir; his maternal grandparents were William de Welle , of Claxby & Well and Miss de Gant. He had two brothers named Robert de and Walter de. He was the oldest of the three children. He died before 1200.General Notes
