HUGH FITZEON, son and heir, had succeeded to Tattershall not later than 1118. He founded Kirkstead Abbey, co. Lincoln, in 1139 and made grants thereto, with the consent of Robert, his son and heir, about 1140-50. He was dead in 1166. [Complete Peerage XII/1:645-6, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
