Hawise le was born about 1228 in Cheswardine, Salopshire, England. Hawise le's father was John III le Strange , Lord of Knockyn and her mother was Lucy de Tregoz. Her paternal grandparents were John II le Strange , Lord Cheswardine & Nesse and Amice; her maternal grandparents were Robert I de Tregoz and Sibyl de Ewyas. She had three brothers and a sister, named John IV le, Roger 1st Baron le, Robert le and Katherine le. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died in 1310.-
