John IV le Strange , Lord of Knockyn 
John IV le was born about 1226 in Knockyn, Shropshire, England. John IV le's father was John III le Strange , Lord of Knockyn and his mother was Lucy de Tregoz. His paternal grandparents were John II le Strange , Lord Cheswardine & Nesse and Amice; his maternal grandparents were Robert I de Tregoz and Sibyl de Ewyas. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Roger 1st Baron le, Robert le, Hawise le and Katherine le. He was the oldest of the five children. He died in Knockyn, Shropshire, England.General Notes
John IV Lestrange; may have been a supporter of Simon de Montfort in his disputes with Henry III; was at any rate instructed by the King to surrender his possession of Montgomery Castle 1261 and 1263, it having been ordered to be made over to him 1260; a royal order for its restoration to him (John IV Lestrange) was also made 1265, suggesting that any support by him for Simon de Montfort was now ended; married Joan (predeceased her husband), daughter of Roger de Somery by Nichole, daughter and coheir of William de Aubigny, Earl of Arundel, and died by 26 Feb 1275/6.
