Miles was born about 1340 in iNGAHM, NORFOLK. Miles' father was Miles De STAPLETON Knight of Garter and his mother was Joan INGHAM. His paternal grandparents were SIR Gilbert STAPLETON and Agnes (Maud) (Matilda) FITZALAN; his maternal grandparents were Oliver De INGHAM KNIGHT and Elizabeth ZOUCHE. He had two brothers and a sister, named Edmund, John and Joan. He was the oldest of the four children. He died on April 10th, 1419. He was buried in Ingham.-
