Her paternal grandparents were Gruffudd ap Rhys , Prince of Deheubarth and Gwenllian verch Gruffudd; her maternal grandparents were Madog ap Maredudd , King of Powys and Susanna verch Gruffudd. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Rhys "Gryg" ap, Gruffudd ap, Angharad (Ankaret) verch, Catrin verch and Margred verch. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died in 1236.-
