Ida (Isabel) was born in 1154 in of Norfolk, England.  Ida (Isabel)'s father was Hamelin Plantagenet de Anjou Earl of Surrey and her mother was Isabel de Warenne. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Geoffrey, William Plantagenet, Maud, Ela (Adela), Suzanne and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.
