Arnfinn Thorfinnsson 10th Jarl of was born about 0938 in Orkney Islands, Scotland. Arnfinn Thorfinnsson 10th Jarl of's father was Thorfinn "Skull Cleaver" 9th Jarl of Orkney and his mother was Grelod of Caithness. He had three brothers named Havard Thorfinnsson 11th Jarl of, Hlodve Thorfinnsson 13th Jarl of and Liot Thorfinnsson 12th Jarl of. He was the oldest of the four children. He died after 0978 in (killed by Ragnhild).General Notes

Arnfinn as Jarl of Orkney and, apparently, of Caithness. He m. Ragnhild, dau, of King Eric Bloodaxe, 954 or 955. According to the Saga, she had him murdered, but the date is not given. He was succeeded by his next brother, [Complete Peerage, X:Appendix A:7]
