Matilda(Edith) "Atheling" was born in 1079 in Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland.  Matilda(Edith) "Atheling"'s father was 54th King Malcolm III "Canmore" "Longneck" OF SCOTLAND and her mother was Saint/Queen Margaret "The Exile" OF SCOTLAND.  Her paternal grandparents were 50th King Duncan I MacCrinan "The Gracious" Of The Scots OF SCOTLAND and Aelflaed OF NORTHUMBRIA; her maternal grandparents were Prince Edward Atherling"The Outlaw" Of England and Princess/ Agatha Of England OF HUNGARY. She had a brother and a sister, named David I and Mary.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother named Duncan II Of Scots.  She died at the age of 39 on May 1st, 1118 in Westminster Palace, London, England.  She was buried in Church Of St. Peter.
