His paternal grandparents were Seigneur Hugues de (Hugh) Montgomery Seigneur and Josceline of Pont-Audemer; his maternal grandparents were Count d' Alencon William II d' Talvas Count d' Alencon and Hildeburge de Beaumont. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Robert II de, Arnulph de, Sibyl de and Maude de (Mathilde). He died about 1123.General Notes
