Isabel (Matilda) de was born about 1278 in Kildrummy Castle, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Isabel (Matilda) de's father was Donald 6th Earl de Mar , Sir Knight and her mother was Helen verch Llewelyn. Her paternal grandparents were William 5th Earl de Mar , Sir and Elizabeth Comyn; her maternal grandparents were Llewelyn ap Iorwerth , Prince of Wales and Unknown Mistress. She had a brother and two sisters, named Gratney 7th Earl de, Margaret (Marjory or Mary) de and Margaret of. She was the youngest of the four children. She died before 1302.General Notes
