Peter FitzHerbert 
Peter was born on June 1st, 1235 in Brecknock, Wales. Peter's father was Herbert Fitzpiers and his mother was Alice FitzRoger. His paternal grandparents were Herbert FitzHerbert II and Lucy of Hereford Lady of Blaen Llyfni. He had a brother and a sister, named Adam and Joan. He died on June 1st, 1235.General Notes
Peter FitzHerbert was one of the Barons who signed the Magna Charta, but was not one of the Sureties for its observance. He was at first very obsequious to King John and was reputed one of that Prince's evil counsellors. In 1214 he was constituted Governor of Pykering Castle, County York, and Sheriff of the Shire. Afterwards, falling off in his allegiance, his lands at Alcester, which he had received through his grandmother, Juliana Corbet, were seized by the crown and given to William de Camville. Returning, however, to his duty upon accession of Henry III, those lands were restored to him.
