Stephen King of England 
Stephen King of was born in 1095 in Blois, France. Stephen King of's father was Stephen III Count of Blois and his mother was Adela Princess of Adela Alice Princess of England. His paternal grandparents were Theobald III Count of Champagne & Blois and Garsinde von Maine; his maternal grandparents were William I "The Conqueror" King of England and Matilda of Flanders. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William de Champagne Count of, Humbert of Blois Count of, Henry Bishop of, Theobald III 4th Count of, Matilda of and Emma of. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 59 on October 25th, 1154 in Dover Castle, Kent.General Notes
Reigned 1135-1154. He siezed the throne from Matilda who invaded England in
1139. The civil war that followed proved him a brave soldier but revealed his
lack of political sense. In 1152, after much of the country had been ravaged in factional fighting and the royal administration had broken down, Stephen recognized Matilda's son Henry as heir to the throne. Duke of Normandy 1135-1144, deposed. Duke of Blois, Count of Mortain, Count of Boulogne.
