Edward II Plantagenet King of was born on April 25th, 1284 in Caernarvon Castle, Caernarvonshire, Wales.  Edward II Plantagenet King of's father was Edward I Plantagenet "Longshanks" King O England and his mother was Eleanor Princess of Castile.  His paternal grandparents were Henry III Plantagenet King of England and Eleanor of Provence; his maternal grandparents were Ferdinand III "The Saint" King of Leon & Castile and Joan de Dammartin , of Ponthieu. He had three sisters named Eleanor, Joan "of Acre" and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the four children. He had two half-brothers named Thomas de and Edmund.  He died at the age of 43 on September 21st, 1327 in Berkeley Castle, Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England (murdered).  He was buried in Gloucester Cathedral.
