Margaret (Beatrice) of was born about 1180 in Genf, Geneva, Helvetiz, Switzerland.  Margaret (Beatrice) of's father was William I Count of Geneva and her mother was Beatrix of Faucigny.  Her paternal grandparents were Amadeus I Count of Geneva and Matilda de Cuiseaux; her maternal grandparents were Aimon I Count of Faucigny and Clemencia de Berancon.  She was an only child.  She died on April 8th, 1257 in Pierre-Chatel, Isere, France.
