Filia was born in 1080. Filia's father was Lord/Lord Folkingham Gilbert DE GHENT DE GAND and her mother was Alice DE MONTFORT. Her paternal grandparents were Ralph I DE GANT and Giselle OF LUXEMBURG; her maternal grandparents were Count Hugh II DE MONTFORT SUR RISLE and Alice DE BEAUFFOU. She had two brothers and a sister, named Hughes, Walter Of Lincoln and Emma. She was the second youngest of the four children.General Notes
Founded the first 5 Royal Tribes and restored the Crown ofGweynedd in 1081. Was imprisoned by the Normans in Chester in1081-1093 in Bangor Cathedral.
They had a son named Hugh II.
