Idoine de was born about 1300 in Appleby Castle, Westmorland, England.  Idoine de's father was Robert I 1st Baron de Clifford , Sir and her mother was Maud de Clare.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger III de Clifford , Justice of Forests and Isabel de Vipont; her maternal grandparents were Thomas de Clare , Lord of Thomond, Gov London and Juliane FitzMaurice. She had two brothers and a sister, named Robert II 3rd Baron de, Roger IV 2nd Baron de and Margaret de.  She died on August 24th, 1365 in Alnwick Castle, Northumberland, England.

‌Idoine de and Henry 2nd Baron de were married in a religious ceremony in 1314 in Yorkshire, England.  They had a son and three daughters, named Henry 3rd Baron de, Isabel de, Alianore de and Maud de.
