Ada de was born about 1295 in St Briavel Castle, Gloucestershire, England. Ada de's father was John 1st Baron de Botetourte , Sir and her mother was Maud FitzThomas , Heiress of Mendlesham. Her paternal grandfather was Guy Botetourte , of Ellingham, Sir; her maternal grandparents were Thomas FitzOtto , Sir and Beatrice de Beauchamp. She had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas de, Otto (Otho\Otes) and Elizabeth de. She was the second youngest of the four children. She died about May 1349 in (of plague).General Notes
He [John de St. Philibert] married Ada. He died before 12 February 1332/3, seised of lands in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Gloocester and Berkshire. His widow died about Whitsuntide 1349 in the time of the pestilence. [Complete Peerage XI:366, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
