His paternal grandfather was Guy Botetourte , of Ellingham, Sir; his maternal grandparents were Thomas FitzOtto , Sir and Beatrice de Beauchamp. He had a brother and two sisters, named Otto (Otho\Otes), Ada de and Elizabeth de. He was the oldest of the four children. He died in 1322 in (dvp).-
