Margery (Margaret) de was born about 1252 in Bisley, Gloucestershire, England.  Margery (Margaret) de's father was Humphrey VI de Bohun , Governor of Winchester and her mother was Eleanor de Braose.  Her paternal grandparents were Humphrey V de Bohun , 2nd Earl Hereford&Essex and Maud d' Eu; her maternal grandparents were William 6th Baron de Braose , Lord Abergavenny and Eva Marshal. She had a brother and a sister, named Humphrey VII de and Alianore de.  She was the youngest of the three children.
