Robert III De was born before 1135 in Leicestershire, England. Robert III De's father was Robert "Bossu" "The Just* De Beaumont Earl Of Leicester/Leicester and his mother was Itta [Amicia] De Montford [Countess]. His paternal grandparents were 1st Earl Of Leicester Robert I De Robert Earl Of 1st Earl Of Leicester/Beaumont and Isabel Elizabeth De Vermandois; his maternal grandparents were Ralph De Seigneur Of [Lord Montfort - Earl Norfolk]/Gael and Emma Avice De Vermandois. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Gervace De, William De, John De, Geoffrey De, Henry De, Isabel De, Margaret De and Hawise Mabel Avis. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died on August 31st, 1190 in Durazzo, Greece (Went On Crusade 1179). He was buried in 1190 in Dumas, Greece.General Notes

The 3rd Earl of this creation, yet another Robert, rebelled against Henry II and the town of Leicester was captured and set fire to by the King in 1173, although the castle itself was not taken. The 3rd Earl was later captured by Henry II, however, and the King then pulled the castle down.
