Matilda Bassett

Matilda was born about 1186 in Wallingford, Buckinghamshire, England.  Matilda's father was (Baron Wallingford) Thurston Basset (Baron Wallingford) and her mother was Mrs-Thurston Basset. She had a brother and five sisters, named Richard, Isabel, Joan, Egilina, Alice and Laurencia.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.
