William De was born about 1150 in Belvoir Castle, Belvoir, Leicestershire, England.  William De's father was Lord Of Belvoir William "Le Breton" De Albini Lord Of Belvoir and his mother was Maud Fitzrobert De Caen [Countess Of Chester.  His paternal grandmother was Heiress Of Belvoir Cecily Cecily De Heiress Of Belvoir/Bigod; his maternal grandparents were 1st Earl Of Gloucester Robert "The King's Son" Robert 1st Earl Of Gloucester/1st Earl Of Gloucester/Robert and [Countess Of Glo Maud Fitzhamon [Countess Of Glo. He had a sister named Matilda De.  He was the older of the two children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Richard De, Hugh De Meschines Earl Of, Alice De, Johanna De and Beatrix De Gernons.  He died on May 1st, 1236 in Castle, Belvoir, Leicestershire, England.  He was buried in Newstead Abbey, Newstead, Nottinghamshire, England.
