Margery De was born in 1152 in Castle Prudhoe, Northumberland, England.  Margery De's father was [Baron Prudhoe] Odinel II De Umfreville [Baron Prudhoe] and her mother was Alice De Lucy.  Her paternal grandparents were [Baron Prudhoe] Odinel I De Umfreville [Baron Prudhoe] and Mrs Odinel I De Umfreville; her maternal grandparents were Justiciar-England Richard "The Loyal" De Lucy Justiciar-England and Rohese Fitzrichard De Clare. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Robert De, William De, Richard De, Gilbert De, Odinel De, Alice De and Emma De.  She was the oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 56 in 1208 in Belvoir Castle, Belvoir, Leicestershire, England.  She was buried in Priory, Belvoir, Leicester, England.
