King David I (The Saint) was born about 1080 in Scotland.  King David I (The Saint)'s father was King Malcolm III Canmore of Scotland and his mother was Queen Margaret Aetheling of Scotland.  His paternal grandparents were King Duncan I Mac Crinan of Scotland and Sibyl Biornsson; his maternal grandparents were Edward Aethling (The Exiled) of England and Agatha of West Friesland. He had two brothers and two sisters, named King Alexander I (The Foerce), King Edgar, Matilda (Good Queen Maude) and Princess Mary. He had two half-brothers named King Duncan II Canmore and Heth Edelrad.  He died on May 24th, 1153 in Carlisle, Cumberland, Eng.  He was buried in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.
