Elizabeth Matthews 
Elizabeth was born about 1737. Elizabeth's father was Walter Matthews and her mother was Mary Mendenhall. Her paternal grandparents were Oliver Matthews and Elizabeth Unknown; her maternal grandparents were John Mendenhall and Susanna Pierson. She had two brothers and a sister, named Oliver, William and Mary Ann. She was the second youngest of the four children.-
