Peter Courtenay

Peter was born about 1507 in Powderham Castle, Devon, Eng. Peter's father was William (The Great) Courtenay and his mother was Margaret Edgcumbe. His paternal grandparents were Sir William Courtenay and Cecily Cheyney. He had four brothers named George, Henry, Nicholas and Anthony. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John, Philip, James, Thomas, Gertrude, Katherine and Elizabeth.
