John Ballard

John was born on August 16th, 1772 in Grayson Co, VA. John's father was David Ballard and his mother was Mary Brock. His paternal grandparents were William Ballard and Mary Byrum. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Nathan , William, Asa, Rhoda, Lydia Ann, Ellinor, Mary, Ann and Edith. He was the second oldest of the eleven children.
