Francis Bacon

Francis was born about 1475 in Drinkstone, Suffolk, Eng. Francis' father was John Bacon and his mother was Agnes Cookfield. His paternal grandparents were Edmund Bacon and Elizabeth Crofts; his maternal grandfather was Sir Thomas Cookfield. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Edmund, Thomas, John, William, Henry, Margery, Jane and Annie. He was the oldest of the ten children.
