John Alford 
John was born about 1549 in Whitestaunton, Somerset, Eng. John 's father was Rev Alexander Alford and his mother was Agnes Unknown. His paternal grandfather was John Alford. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Solomon, William John , Bartholomew, Mary, Alice, Elinor and Bridget. He was the third youngest of the eight children.
