Margaret was born about 1431 in Ardrossen,Ayrshire,Scotland. Margaret's father was Lord Alexander Montgomerie and her mother was Margaret Boyd. Her paternal grandparents were Sir John Montgomerie and Margaret Maxwell; her maternal grandparents were Lord Thomas Boyd Of Kilmarnock and Isabel. She had a brother and a sister, named Alexander and Elizabeth. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died after July 20th, 1461 in Darnley,Renfrewshire,Scotland.1 General Notes
