Joan was born about 1370 in Upholland,Lancashire,England.  Joan's father was Earl Thomas III De Holland Of Kent and her mother was Alice Fitzalan.  Her paternal grandparents were Earl Thomas II De Holland Of Kent and Countess Joan Plantagenet Of Kent; her maternal grandparents were Earl Richard II (Copped Hat) FitzAlan Of Arundel and Eleanor Plantagenet. She had a brother and two sisters, named Edmund, Margaret and Eleanor.  She died on April 12th, 1434 in (dsp).1
