Adelaide was born about 0824 in Of,Tours,Indre-et-Loire,France.1   Adelaide's father was Emperor Louis I (The Pious) Carolingian Of The Holy Roman Empire, King Of Aquitaine and her mother was Princess Ermengarde De Hesbaye.  Her paternal grandparents were Emperor Charlemagne Carolingian Of The Holy Roman Empire, King Of the Franks and Lady Hildegarde De Swabia; her maternal grandfather was Duc Ingeranne De Hesbaye & Bavaria. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Lothaire I, Pepin I, Louis II, Alpaid Elpheid, Rotrude and Hildegarde. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named The Bald and Gisela.  She died before 0890.2

‌Adelaide and Fortis were married in a religious ceremony in 0864 in France.1   They had a son and a daughter, named Eudes and Bertha.
