Frederick II was born in 0974 in Luxembourg,Germany. Frederick II's father was Count Frederic I Aachen Of Luxembourge and his mother was Ermentrude De Wetterau Of Gleiberg. His paternal grandparents were Count Sigfrid Aachen Of Luxembourge and Hedwig De Nordgau; his maternal grandparents were Count Heribert (Kinziggau) De Wetterau and Countess Irmintrud De Avalgau. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Giselbert I, Hermann, Otgive, Ermentrude and Gisele. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 91 on May 18th, 1065.General Notes
