Emerenciana Manuela was born on May 31st, 1781 in Rio Grande-Rs. Emerenciana Manuela's father was João Teixeira Carneiro II and her mother was Escolástica Maria De Jesus. Her paternal grandparents were Alferes João Teixeira Carneiro I and Luísa Maria; her maternal grandparents were Antônio Do Couto Saraiva and Isabel Maria Barbosa. She had four brothers and a sister, named Luiz Teixeira, Albino Teixeira, Joaquim Manoel, Francisco Teixeira and Emerenciana. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 54 on December 26th, 1835 in Pelotas-Rs.-
